Cretaceous Calamity

Cretaceous Calamity is a user-made expansion currently in production by the Mysterious Map Marvels. It focuses on the Cretaceous period, and includes plants and animals from the period, as well as new scenery objects. Several new features will also be included. Originally planned to be a map-only expansion pack, it has since evolved into a full-fledged expansion pack.

New Features

Cretaceous Calamity will include modified animal behaviors. New predator and prey coding increases the chances of a herbivore defending itself from attack, as well as increasing the frequency of carnivore fights. Large dinosaurs will be tougher, taking multiple attacks to bring down. There will also be animal-specific behaviors as well, such as pack hunting among carnivores to attack larger animals.

Dinosaur Death Duels, first seen in the Jurassic Park Premium Download and in a user-created Allosaurus, will also be featured in Cretaceous Calamity.

Maps

Cretaceous Calamity will be the first user-made expansion to include functional maps. Unlike saved games, which must be installed to a player's profile, these will function as official base maps for Freeform and Challenge games. Maps to be included are as follows:

Stokesosaurus is a predatory dinosaur included in Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals

Stokesosaurus is a lightly built bipedal theropod dinosaur whith dark-grey scales covering most of its' body exept for its' back which is covered whith black scales. It is not particularily large by dinosaur standards, but is one of the most dangerous animals in the game and is capable of killing much larger animals then itself, including Carnotaurus, Utahraptor, Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex. It is a short-sighted creature and may wear glasses when it uses the painting easal enrichment object.

It's able to kill such dinosaurs because Extinct Animals used the same predator scale for it and the large carnviores, as a larger scale didn't exist for the game. Many designers have released hacks to correct this.

Stokesosaurus lives in the boreal forest biome but can tolerate the tundra biome to a degree. They can even stand grassland.
